Last night, Apple sought to put itself in the centre of a new wave of smart home gadgets as it joins the at-home digital assistant ring. The tech giant unveiled a device called HomePod. It is a next generation voice-controlled music player. This is the first major new product category that Apple has launched after they unveiled after the Apple Watch last 2014.
Apple’s WWDC 2017 Keynote just ended. Key executives Craig Federighi, Phil Schiller, and of course, Tim Cook, took the stage and announced updates headed to iPhones, Macbooks, and more.
Google is launching an ad blocker to Chrome and they are telling all publishers to get ready for it. The warning is to let website owners assess their own ads and strip anything that can be disruptive to their pages. Why? Because Chrome’s upcoming ad blocker doesn't block all ads from the web. Instead, it’ll only block ads that are determined to be annoying or intrusive, like videos that autoplay with sound or interstitials that take up the whole screen.
Last Friday, during the second Singapore-Australia Leaders’ Summit held in Singapore, the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate closely on cyber security. This includes information sharing, training, and joint exercises to safeguard critical information infrastructure. The signing of MOU was witnessed by the prime ministers of the two nations - Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore and Malcolm Turnbull of Australia.
