The Nintendo Entertainment System or NES was an instant hit when it hit the market in 1985. But now 32 years later the console is going to be discontinued for good. The gaming giant announced that it has stopped the production of the NES Classic which was re-released last November of 2016. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Designing and making sure that a user interface will perform in a consistent manner is very difficult, but Facebook is aiming to make it a bit easier for everyone by open-sourcing Litho, a framework that they have developed from scratch to handle scrolling workload from Android Apps. Last year, Google announced that they would shut down Map Maker, their older online tool that allowed anyone to contribute updates to their “Google Maps” application. Map Maker has been around since 2008, it has let users correct or fill in missing map content (place details, roads, business information, etc.). This tool has been a big help for people in emerging markets, where most often than not, official or detailed maps are not yet available.
